The program of this wargame at the Museum of the Liberation :
- This Wargaming takes place as part of the current exhibition “Is Paris Burning? When cinema reinvents the Liberation”
- A day to try military tactics
- 15-minute games and a discovery scenario, accompanied by a team of passionate volunteers
- August 19, 1944. Paris rose up against the enemy. The streets of Paris were transformed into a difficult field of operations for the liberators. The 600 barricades erected and the skirmishes could not overcome the German troops alone. This insurrection triggered the arrival of Allied military forces sent by General Eisenhower. The vanguard of the 2nd Armoured Division (DB) commanded by an early Free Frenchman, General Leclerc, entered the capital on the evening of 24 August, to the sound of church bells…
- Equipped with 6-sided dice and units of miniature soldiers, participants will face military challenges inspired by historical reality, accompanied by a team of enthusiasts.
