L’expo "Thierry Mugler, Couturissime"

Thierry Mugler began his career as a professional dancer. Dance opened the doors of the theater to him. He studied at the School of Decorative Arts and was interested in interior architecture. Then he became the great French stylist and couturier we know today. Director, perfume designer, photographer… A rich, intense life and an extraordinary stylist with such a singular style.

He created his 1st collection in 1973, with a style of his own, modern, hyper-feminine, avant-garde… It was the beginning of a very great international career.

Costume designer for musicals, operas or musicals such as “Emilie Jolie”. He worked with Cirque du Soleil in 2002, shooting music videos and advising stars such as Beyoncé.

  • 150 outfits are presented in this exhibition
  • Latex, leather, feathers or metal… for dresses, bustiers, tight corsets, superheroine costumes
  • Photographic archives
  • Videos of fashion shows where we find the greatest top models of the 80s

  • A spectacular and cheerful exhibition that pays tribute to the extravagant and magical world of Thierry Mugler.
