The Musée Carnavalet, for its third edition of Carnavalet et vous, is organising two festive and free days under the sign of commitment and sensitivity for young adults

On the program : taste tours, divinatory visits, meetings with committed personalities, games, music and theater, there will be something for everyone!

Some of the activities will be free to access, others will require registration on site 30 minutes before the start

Participation in the activities is done by registration with the ticket agents 30 minutes before the start of the activity.

Saturday, May 4

  • From 2 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., every 45 minutes:Divinatory visits” – What if the art of divination met the collections of the Musée Carnavalet? A reading of the works revisited with an actress who tells fortune teller. Meeting point at the reception – Duration 30min (registration on site)
  • At 11:30 am, 2:30 pm and 4 pm : “Crisis, climate, resilience” tours – Thematic visit in the museum rooms to discover how Paris has overcome crises – Duration 1 hour (registration on site)
  • From 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. continuously-Parisian itineraries” – Selected works and Paris told by young people supervised and supported by the Aurore association – Throughout the museum – Duration 5 to 10 min (free access)
  • From 1 pm to 5:30 pm continuously : “Musical Pastilles” – Chamber music students offer you musical pastilles related to works they have chosen – throughout the museum – Duration 5 -10 min (free access)

Sunday, May 5

  • from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. : for a feminist look at the history of Paris • Meeting with Julie Beauzac, creator of the podcast “Vénus s’épilait-elle la chatte?” • Deciphering a selection of works • Duration 1h30 • In the museum’s Orangery (free access, no registration required)
  • At 11:30 am, 2 pm, 3:15 pm and 4:30 pm : taste tours with the artist collective Enoki – What were we on our plates in Paris in the Middle Ages? A culinary history of Paris – Duration 45 min (registration on site)
  • At 10:30 am, 4 pm and 4:45 pm : Visits “Discovering Black Paris” – Kévi Donat makes you discover the history of racialized people in the city of Paris. From the Ancien Régime to the present day, highlighting ignored stories – Duration 45 min (registration on site) – meeting at the reception
  • From 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. continuously throughout the museum Theatrical Pastilles“. Theatre students offer readings of committed texts that they link to the works and spaces of the museum. – Duration 5-10 min (Free access)

Saturday and Sunday

  • From 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm – “Game: the monuments of Paris”:
  • A role-playing game imagined by the students of the University of Paris 1 – discover 8 Parisian monuments by slipping into the shoes of Parisian characters: an artist, a marquise, a street kid or a washerwoman… to each his own point of view through the ages (Free access) throughout the museum
