A new edition of the famous outdoor leisure festival to the rhythm of the Paris Olympics! At the La Villette basin, on the banks of the Canal de l’Ourcq in Paris and Saint-Denis, to the northern loop of the Seine (Seine confluence). Every weekend, the Summer of the Canal offers a wide range of festive, nautical, fun and cultural activities accessible to all free of charge or at low prices: aesthetics and originality guaranteed!
This year, the activities will take place near the Olympic venues : Stade de France, the Olympic Aquatics Centre and the Athletes’ Village, or Club France and the Parc des Nations located in the Parc de La Villette
“Summer of the canal”, at the water’s edge
- It takes place at the Bassin de la Villette, on the Canal de l’Ourcq and on the Canal Saint-Denis , renamed “Olympic Canal” for the occasion with a nice festive and fun program
- FREE sports activities : in the colours of the Olympics: on water sports centres, in parks or along waterways and giant screens to follow the competitions
- Festive activities: floating concerts, balls, workshops for the youngest, convivial picnics, dance battles, and many other activities with free access
- New for 2024: “Au fil de l’autre” is a series of photographic installations by Hugues Anhès.
- You will have to follow a route along the Canal de l’Ourcq to see the works on the facades, terraces, factories, bridges…
- Activities at €10 and less : combined river shuttles + fun workshops, aperitifs, urban walks , and heritage hikes, musical cruises... or guided tours
