An artistic challenge in the heart of the castle
The Palace of Versailles is organising a real artistic competition for a whole weekend!
During these two days, visitors will attend a series of performances, workshops and exhibitions. Combining several disciplines, combining classical and modern, 5 artistic fields will be highlighted as close as possible to the works of Versailles:
- Music and Performing Arts
- Visual Arts
- Literature and writings
- Architecture and design
- Audiovisual and digital arts
From 7 years old and for all ages, children will be able to practice fun activities and exercise their artistic talents
This will be an opportunity to compose their own penthatlon by selecting activities:
- Creative workshops
- Puppet and theatre show
- Introduction to music
- Dance Workshop
- Readings and tales
- Interactive Exhibits
On site you will find guides and maps specially designed for families: they will tell you the most suitable activities for children
A whole program offered throughout a weekend immersed in the fabulous world of the arts!

Between 9:45 am and 3 pm, you will have to choose 5 workshops on site that will last 20 minutes each! Enough to compete with talent for 2 hours and 20 minutes
Vintage Dance Marathon
The Quadrille, the Contredanse, the Gavotte… These types of dance were practiced in elegant salons, royal courts, and aristocratic balls. Practice and become a professional in this practice!
Fencing Tournament
On guard, ready, go… After a demonstration of artistic fencing, try your hand at this practice and try to defeat your opponent!
