Between a railway track, a vegetable garden and Street Art for lunch, dinner or brunch!
- On the plate: healthy, seasonal products straight from the vegetable garden
- We like: an atypical, quiet place with a sunny terrace
- The district: a few minutes’ walk from the Bassin de la Villette
- Brunch: less than €20 for the full menu
- Warning: reservation recommended on weekends, especially if the weather is good
THE LEVEL CROSSING, AN ATYPICAL PLACE
- This restaurant, opened in August 2020, is located on the edge of the inner ring road in the 19th arrondissement, a stone’s throw from the Canal de l’Ourcq and the Bassin de la Villette , a little out of sight.
- It is part of a nice project “La ferme du Rail” which includes housing for people in reintegration, a vegetable garden cultivated by people in reintegration and the restaurant Le Passage à niveau. The Rail Farm is an agri-urban space open to all to welcome, train and integrate the most vulnerable people in a sustainable way
- Fruit and vegetables are grown here for the restaurant
- Affordable and à la carte prices, simple dishes with seasonal products served with kindness and simplicity
- A convivial terrace with a view of the old railway line and walls covered with Street Art
WE TESTED THE LEVEL CROSSING BRUNCH
- You can choose between a complete menu (a main course + a juice + a hot drink + a sweet buffet) at 17€ when we went or the main course alone at 12€
- It’s very simple and hearty
- For the sweet buffet, fresh fruit, pancakes, mini pancakes and especially delicious Pasteis de Nata

IF YOU LIKE STREET ART!
- There are them everywhere, all along the rue de l’Ourcq, rue de Crimée…
