Museums, walks, activities, exhibitions… at the Halles and around the Halles

The Halles district is a very lively districtin the heart of Paris! We go there to shop, in the Forum des Halles recognizable by its light wood canopy (a shopping center in the basement, practical when it rains! The two largest museums to visit in this area are theCentre Pompidou (Beaubourg) and the Museum of contemporary art from the Bourse. One of the curiosities of the district, the column of Catherine de Medici, adjoining the Paris Stock Exchange, in the gardens of Les Halles. Behind the Saint-Eustache church is the Rue Montorgueil district, a semi-pedestrian street that is lively day and night (many restaurants and terraces for lunch and dinner). For those who want to go out in the Les Halles district: cinemas (the Forum des images and the UGC Ciné Cité Les Halles), jazz clubs (such as the Sunset Sunside or the Duc des Lombards), bars, restaurants…
