On August 27th, we celebrate Ganesh in Paris!

  • Ganesh, the child god with the head of an elephant, will be honored in the streets of Paris in a colorful parade full of flowers and music
  • Come and watch the procession in the colors of India and Hindu traditions
  • Ganesh, who is the most revered god in India, embodies wisdom and protects schools and knowledge
  • This procession is open to all!
  • It is a unique opportunity to share Indian traditions
  • Let yourself be carried away by the crowd of devotees who follow the flowered float that carries Ganesh among the dancers dressed in traditional costumes and painted with peacock feathers
  • To the sound of music and mantras, you will witness various rituals such as fruit offerings and many flower crowns, garlands and jasmine necklaces with a heady scent. Coconuts are offered to Ganesh because, once broken, they free the ego and bring prosperity
  • Maybe you will have the chance to taste some sweet offerings that will be offered on the course?
  • The parade will leave at 11 a.m. from the Temple of Ganesh at 17 rue Pajol in the18th arrondissement
