- ON THE PROGRAMME : STORYTELLING TOURS, WORKSHOPS, GUIDED TOURS, FESTIVE FAMILY SUNDAY
- ACCESS TO THE MUSEUM: access to the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions at the price of €12 (reduced rate €9); free for under 18s and under 26s who are residents of the European Union. The activities are at the rate of 14€ (reduced rate 8€); Access to the museum is included in the activity ticket

During the February holidays, the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac offers many activities for families. They allow you to (re)discover the museum’s permanent collections.
“The World in the Family” is aimed at all children, even toddlers.
- STORYTELLING TOURS:
- For 0-3 year olds: “My little storytelling visit, mother snake” – For a first discovery of the museum, in stories and songs with a storyteller
- For 0-3 year olds: “My Little Storytelling Tour, Little Bear’s Journey” – Follow Little Bear on his journey across continents. A storyteller accompanies the children through the museum with stories and songs
- for 3-5 year olds : “Around the world” – A journey through stories and songs to awaken toddlers to the works of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas
- for 3-5 year olds : “The world in colour” – Explore, feel and perceive the collections in a different way, through shapes and colours, in song and music
- for ages 6 and up : “Carnivals” – Celebrate the carnivals of the world in fairy tales!
- for ages 6 and up : “Oceania” – Embark on an adventure on the Pacific waves and sail from island to island!
- for ages 6 and up : “Africa” – From the heart of the Sahara to the tip of Cape Town, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean, discover the original land and meet the spirits
- for 6 years old and over : “A Thousand and One Orients” – Enter the nomadic world of tales that travel: from Marrakech to Samarkand, from desert to wadi, from the rural world to urban societies
- for ages 6 and up : “Soothsayers and Sorcerers” – Through his stories, a storyteller reveals to children the secrets of soothsayers, sorcerers, shamans and healers from all over the world
- GUIDED TOURS:
- for 3-5 year olds : “The senses awakened” – A visit to the museum’s collections to contemplate, sing, touch and discover all the art of the world
- for 3-5 year olds : “From head to toe” – Look at the statues by reproducing their postures, decipher a mask by imitating its expression, understand through gesture…
- from 6 years old : “The animal trail” – Identify the materials of animal origin and find the bestiary hidden in the objects (masks, sculptures, everyday objects, fabrics, totems, paintings, cult objects, musical instruments, etc.) from the four corners of the world!
- from 6 years old : “The secret of the mask” – As you travel through Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas, discover masks designed with various materials and for different purposes
- from 6 years old : “Everyone has their own tastes” – Make your choice! Point out to the guide the object that intrigues you the most, and try together to discover what gives it its value, in its culture of origin and in the museum’s display cases.
- THE WORKSHOPS:
- for 3-5 year olds : “Rain” – Rain is such an essential phenomenon to life on earth that it deserves to be danced and sung! At the heart of the collections, toddlers observe works from different continents, identify symbolic motifs and discover in the workshop room, the rituals in which they participate, through a short musical practice or by making an object that repels the rain
- for 3-5 year olds : “Magic Object” – On the Collections set, toddlers observe the statues, masks and accessories used by the soothsayers (or Nganga) among the Kongos of Central Africa before creating, in the workshop room, their own magical objects
- for 3-5 year olds : “Secret Puppets” – The close observation of the diversity of materials used in the Oceanian works presented on the Collections platform gives children the opportunity to create fantastic characters in the workshop, animated by their stories and secrets
- for 6 – 8 year olds : “At the heart of the masks” – In the Congo River basin, masks with geometric and refined shapes come out for initiation ceremonies, festivities in honor of ancestors or the spirits of nature.
- from 6 years old : “Painting the dream” – Discover Aboriginal works and myths, then paint your own “dream”!
- from 6 years old : “Too Stylish” – Like any fashion designer, you need to document yourself to feed your imagination. You will learn about past clothing fashions, but also about clothes and suits from all over the world, which will allow you to create your next accessory!
- for 9 – 12 year olds : “The Pattern Factory” – Discover the mysteries of Indian and Iranian fabrics!
