The Château de Breteuil: visit a 17th century castle
Visiting the Château de Breteuil means:

7 famous tales by Perrault are staged with about twenty wax figures in the outbuildings of the castle.

Château de Breteuil – Price
- Prices depend on the formula chosen: “castle visit + gardens + tales” or “gardens + tales”
- Reduced rates for children, over 60s, teachers, job seekers, soldiers, large families, disabled people – On presentation of proof
- Free for children under 5 years old
Picnic area – Restaurant
- Picnic areas are planned for those who have brought their snack! There are even picnic areas with shelter
- If you forgot your picnic, a kiosk allows you to buy pancakes, croque-monsieur and sells ice creams and drinks
- A tea room is open on Sundays and public holidays (but not all year round)
How to get to the Château de Breteuil?
- By car, from the west of Paris : at the Porte de Saint Cloud, direction Bordeaux, then the N118, then exit Saclay. At the Saclay exit, take the N306 (then D906) towards Chevreuse. In Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse (before Chevreuse) follow the Molières and then the signs for “Château de Breteuil”
- By car from the south of Paris : Porte d’Italie or Porte d’Orléans, take the A6 towards Lyon, then the A10 towards Bordeaux, then exit at Les Ulis. At the Les Ulis exit, head towards Chartres to Gometz-la-Ville. In Gometz-la-Ville, head for Les Molières
- By car from Bordeaux or Chartres (A10): exit Rochefort en Yvelines, (1st exit after the toll booth of Saint Arnould). Take the direction of Bullion, Cernay-la-Ville or Dampierre until there are signs “Château de Breteuil”
- By car from Normandy : on the A13, as you approach Versailles, take the A12 towards Rambouillet. At the end of the A12 continue on the N10, still towards Rambouillet, for about 5km. Exit after Trappes when you will see (on the right) Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis. At this exit, turn left immediately towards Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis, then Chevreuse or Dampierre. Either in Chevreuse or Dampierre, motorists find signs “Château de Breteuil”.
- By car from Versailles : reach Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse via Buc (D 938). In Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, go to Les Molières and follow the signs to the castle. By public transport:
