“Seth Plays It”, the exhibition of a globetrotter who speaks to children children from all over the world
“Seth se la joue”, the luminous and joyful exhibition of a globetrotter that takes us to meet the imagination of children from all over the world.
We meet transformed toys, mirror games or secret passages from which the figures of mischievous children emerge !
A real whirlwind that transports us to the sensitive and dreamlike world of childhood… in this strange world of ours
- After the exhibitions “Imaginary Worlds – Speedy Graphito” (2022), “For Ever Play – Asdrubal Colmenarez” (2021) or “Spider, Fireflies and Butterflies” (2020-2021)
- “Seth se la joue” at the Musée en Herbe is an immersive street art exhibition where the game of childhood resonates in an atmosphere of cool attitude.
- Hands in their pockets, Seth’s mischievous characters are little beings who evolve in a colorful and joyful world, in which every child can recognize themselves!
- Keep your eyes peeled, Seth is an artist who takes care of details!
- The exhibition is divided into four paths, each more amusing than the last:
- “Seth Globe painter” addresses the artist’s universe and his travels. In Madagascar, Java, Haiti, Ukraine and China… Large silhouettes of children speak of his own encounters with the inhabitants of these disrupted territories, but also of the carefree nature of childhood through traditional games that he brought back from his travels… and that we can even try!
- “La Rue Marmaille” takes us into an alley of Paris, the city of street artists. It is a universe full of jokes where the colorful fences reveal the figures of joyful children with masked faces that play with our gaze. Whether they’re swinging to the clouds, jumping from rooftop to rooftop in pursuit of the cat, or hiding through secret doors, we really want to play with them!
- “Huit les masques” is a response to this desire to do like the children in the large frescoes we have just seen. In this space, Seth leaves room for the imagination! And each child can try on different masks as they wish, to do as they did at carnival and change their personality! In the “House of Imagination” we find a set of board games from our childhood
- When entering the last room of the course, “Word Games and Mirror Games”, we have to go through a “Vortex” ! A swirling, multicolored tunnel that takes us into an immersive room where mirrors confuse the images of visitors with those of Seth’s characters
- It’s a beautiful, mischievous and colorful exhibition that regularly reminds us that the world of childhood is not necessarily the same everywhere on earth.
- A treasure hunt booklet accompanies children during this exhibition
