Cirque Eloize is one of our favourite circus companies. A so-called “contemporary” Quebec circus, Cirque Eloize, created in 1993, is characterized by its humour, poetry, originality and of course its virtuosity. He is known for his spectacular acts: cyr wheel, straps, Korean board, hand to hand, Chinese pole and juggling. All staged in a very humorous and original way. SALOON: An acrobatic and musical comedy inspired by the rich heritage of the Wild West
For the show SALOON, Cirque Éloize is inspired by the heritage of the American Wild West. It is therefore set in the America of the Wild West at the time when the SALOON becomes the scene of crazy stories and situations. This is the pretext for Cirque Éloize to revisit with jubilation the imagery of the Wild West and its typical colorful characters (the gambler, the stranger, the sheriff, the dancer, the owner…). Behind the swinging doors of the Eloize Saloon, a dozen characters are preparing to perform the most hair-raising situations, to the sound of folk music. Thus the beauty of the saloon turns heads, the cowboys settle their duels with acrobatic acrobatics… The American folk music very present in this show, gives it the air of a western cabaret.
