L’exposition Salgado "Amazônia" : un merveilleux voyage photographique dans la forêt amazonienne
- The exhibition “Amazônia” presents more than 200 photographs, accompanied by huge projections and documentaries that allow you to listen to the voices of those who inhabit the Brazilian Amazon rainforest
- It shows the incredible natural diversity of the Amazon rainforest and the lifestyles of the people who live there
- It is a true symphony-world: Sagaldo’s magnificent photos of Amerindian communities are accompanied by a sound creation imagined by Jean-Michel Jarre from the concrete sounds of the forest. The rustling of the trees, the cry of the animals, the song of the birds or the roar of the waters rushing from the top of the mountains, collected in situ, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, make up a soundscape adapted to Salgado’s journey
- Sagaldo lived for several weeks with 10 ethnic groups to photograph them and show the incredible richness of the nature that surrounds them
- Photos taken from small boats or from the air reveal the intricate labyrinth of the river’s winding tributaries, the mountains that sometimes rise to 3,000 metres, the waterlogged skies that create veritable celestial rivers
- The exhibition reveals a world of marvellous beauty but also of extreme fragility
- A must-see!
