This year Paris Plages celebrates its 21st edition! Paris Plages is deckchairs and palm trees in the heart of Paris, along the Parc Rives de Seine with a variety of activities every day for young and old alike… It’s ideal when the weather is nice in Paris ! Paris Plages is an artificial beach in Paris, a real nautical base and swimming areas at the Bassin de la Villette and in other places also with the ephemeral swimming pools. Finally, a new feature of Paris Plage 2023: the installation of a new space dedicated to sport as part of the Paris 2024 Olympics in the Trocadero garden, with activities and board games

The Paris Plage 2023 festivities

  • Paris Plage offers free cultural and sporting activities for all: exhibitions, sports classes, a games library and giant games, an off-site library and activities for children
  • Paris Plage offers more shaded and cool areas with more palm trees, more mulberry trees, new misting areas
  • Paris Plage welcomes you to the Parc des Rives de Seine (deckchairs, walks, picnics, etc.) and to La Villette for swimming, among other things, but also in the Trocadero gardens
  • Four swimming pools at La Villette
  • New for 2023 : a real water sports centre in La Villette with lots of sports to try and a new area dedicated to the 2024 Olympics in the Trocadero gardens

  • Paris Plage on the right bank stretches from the Pont des Arts (Paris 5th) to the Pont de Sully (Paris 5th), i.e. with an exceptional view of the Louvre or the Musée d’Orsay to the Ile Saint-Louis.
  • Paris Plages is hundreds of deckchairs, parasols, palm trees, misters… a seaside atmosphere…
  • It is also play and relaxation areas (mini golf, petanque, beach volleyball… but also giant games, and table football)
  • Varied entertainment.
  • You have to stroll, stroll quietly along the quays, enjoy the freshness of one of the many lawns, have a drink on a wooden terrace or discover an open-air exhibition
  • Or sit down with a good book or a comic book borrowed on site in one of the points of the libraries outside the walls
  • The beach is open every day from 10 am to 6:30 pm

Paris Plage at the Bassin de la Villette

  • The Bassin de la Villette is located on the Quai de Loire (Jaurès, Stalingrad or Laumière metro stations)
  • During the summer, the Bassin de la Villette is transformed into a real free nautical base, with swimming areas and water sports: canoeing, kayaking, polo, stand up paddle, pedal boats, pedal boats, small boats (for the little ones) and Hawaiian pirogues
  • But there are also Break Dance classes every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m
  • But also activities and entertainment for 3-7 year olds with the Ludo Plages, but also climbing areas and trampolines!
  • Paris Plage at the Bassin de la Villette is 4 pools of more than 1600m² of different depths with 2 paddling pools (fun pools) with a depth of 0.4 m and 100 m² for accompanied children
  • There are free access to cabins, showers and toilets as well as changing rooms, lockers, deckchairs and umbrellas
  • Decent swimwear is mandatory
  • The swimming area is limited to 500 people per day, swimming is supervised by lifeguards and the water quality is monitored daily
  • For visitors looking for refreshments, don’t panic, refreshment stands and ice cream parlours are on site to the delight of all
  • Please note that children under 10 years old must be accompanied
  • The nautical area is open free of charge every day, Monday to Friday from 10 am to 10 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to midnight
