To discover the lyrical repertoire, the Opéra Comique , in partnership with the Little io company, offers young and old alike a story told around a myth and a famous opera.
- December 21, 2024 at 2 p.m.: “Les Fêtes d’Hébé”, around the Opera-Ballet of Jean-Philippe Rameau. Premiered on 21 May 1739 at the Royal Academy of Music (Opera). In mythology, Hebe is the daughter of Zeus and Hera and goddess of Youth. Surrounded by Graces and Love, she leaves Olympus one day to celebrate poetry, music and dance on earth.
- March 19, 2025 at 2:30 p.m.: “Samson”, around the free Creation of Claus Guth and Raphaël Pichon after Samson. Premiered on July 4, 2024 at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. When Hercules, a mythological superhero, meets Samson, a biblical hero endowed with prodigious strength, it promises an epic story, carried by music of extraordinary dramatic expressiveness.
- June 28, 2025 at 2 p.m.: “Faust”. “Ah! I laugh to see myself so beautiful in this mirror! The beautiful Marguerite allows herself to be seduced for beautiful jewels, without suspecting that the man who offers them to her is only an old fool who has sold his soul for a moment of youth and love. Will she manage to save him? Faust offers us a myth of all the devils, to be discovered with the family.
- September 28, 2024 at 2 p.m.: “Domino Noir”, around the Opéra-Comique by Daniel-François-Esprit Auber. Premiered on 2 December 1837 at the Opéra-Comique. Wacky characters, a love story, misunderstandings, sparkling music. The Domino Noir has it all! This family workshop takes you on a discovery of a key work of comic opera, which celebrates joy and freedom.
The comic opera is aimed at young audiences and offers an original and varied offer for children from 6 years old. There are the workshops “la voix en partage“, “Mon 1er festival d’Opéra” with operas especially for young audiences, musical snacks, commented recitals, and also operas that all young music lovers can enjoy from about 10 years old.
