“Parade”, a great fiesta on the occasion of the reopening of the Châtelet theatre
- On the occasion of its reopening and in tribute to the creation of Parade at the Théâtre du Châtelet in 1917, the Théâtre du Châtelet is organising a large free artistic fiesta on the weekend of 14 September
- The 2019 version of the Parade is in 2 places : the square in front of the City Hall and the Châtelet theater
- On the square in front of the City Hall, passers-by, young and old, will be able to learn free juggling, wire, acrobatics…
- Then, to the sound of the drums of dozens of percussionists, and in the company of a huge bicycle ridden by an animated mechanical Jean Cocteau, Parade will wander through the streets towards the Châtelet.
- In the Theatre, a reconstruction of Erik Satie’s crazy world. Free attractions and entertainment: hypnotist, bearded woman, circus trailer on the terrace… Don’t miss the grand pianos stacked in the Grand Foyer!
