The Monet – Mitchell exhibition
- This exhibition features a dialogue between the works of the French painter Claude Monet, in particular the water lilies, and the American artist Joan Mitchell
- Jason Mitchell was born in Chicago a year before Monet’s death. It was by settling in France, in a living environment close to that of Monet, that his abstract painting came closer to that of the great impressionist painter
- The same sensitivity brings the two artists together
- 60 emblematic works by the two artists are exhibited and compared to each other
- This exhibition offers visitors an enchanting, colourful and joyful journey, punctuated by incredible visual and thematic correspondences.
