Malowe Nature, the educational farm
Everything is planned on the Malowe Nature site: animal discovery workshops, permaculture vegetable garden, pony rides, birthday parties or Easter egg hunt! Fishing and relaxing by the water are also on the program with a snack and picnic tables. There is even a shop there!
For an hour or a day – with family or friends – your day will be organized according to your desires in this green little paradise, where everything is accessible on foot and with a stroller
Halloween at Malowe Nature
October 31st and November 1st: big mischievous witch hunt to celebrate Halloween in style!
On the occasion of Halloween, Malowe Nature is transformed into a place haunted by mischievous witches. Costumes are strongly recommended.
2 courses according to age:
- For little explorers (2-6 years old): hunting in the enchanted trail: children must look for and find emblematic Halloween objects, cleverly placed to stimulate their curiosity and joy of discovery
- For the great explorers (7-10 years old): a quest full of challenges with riddles, charades and riddles to scare away the witches and find the hidden chest…
- 3 departures during the day : 11am, 2pm and 3.30pm

Self-guided tour at Malowe Nature
The Malowe Nature farm on a self-guided tour, to discover the animals
- Children will discover the animals of the mini-farm : Indian runner ducks, sheep from the island of Ouessant, goats and ponies, Peppa and Georges the two pigs, peacocks, rabbits…
- But also about twenty different breeds of chickens and in particular the Serama hen known to be the smallest in the world. Or the Brahama hen which is from the United States.
- Chickens and ducks are completely free, you will find them everywhere on the site, around the ponds, and even in the car parks!
- New in 2024: the whole family will be able to meet the little chicks and Machu, Picchu and poncho, three adorable alpacas who will let themselves be fed and petted in their enclosure.

To enter the enclosures and feed the animals with small buckets of food made specifically for them, on sale at the farm shop for €1.
Access to the playground in the goat enclosure for a play break! Head for slides, swings, trampoline, bouncy castle and even a zip line!
And for days that are a little rainy or very sunny, children can play in a sheltered area with traditional wooden games such as frog play or bounce board.

- about 1h30 from Paris by car via the A13 or A15 motorway
- Accessible by train from the Saint-Lazare train station to Mantes-la-Jolie (37 min), walk to the Mantes-la-Ville bus station (4 min), take bus 60 to Rosay and get to the Malowe Nature farm in 7 min.

Pony rides for children and family fishing:
At the Malowe Nature educational farm, pony rides, trout fishing…
- Pony rides for children from 3 to 10 years old : lasting 15 minutes, the presence of an adult is required to accompany the animal and reassure the child
- Trout fishing: children will be able to learn about pond fishing. Depending on the time, it will be rainbow, yellow, gold or fario trout. Equipment and bait are provided for the children’s formula – The 3 ponds are accessible to the whole family for half a day. Bait is on sale at the shop, and equipment is available for rent.
- Bait and fish must be released
- Tables and barbecues are set up to accommodate your picnics
- For these activities, booking before the visit is recommended

Workshops around farm animals and workshops to discover the plant world
Apprentice farmer workshops, learning with animals
- The Malowe Nature team offers a pedagogy as close as possible to the animal by assisting the little ones who wish to pet or feed the animals
- Accompanied by members of the Malowe Nature team, children will enter all the enclosures to bring hay to the animals using the appropriate tools such as the bucket and wheelbarrow (designed at their height)
- They will learn exciting and funny things about the way of life of these animals such as their diet, reproduction, habitat
- Children will be able to discover a brooding house with the presentation of an incubator
- And depending on the time of day, the little ones will go and collect eggs
Workshops in the vegetable garden, discovering the plant world
- On the banks of the Vaucouleurs river, children will discover a permaculture-cultivated vegetable garden! Permaculture is a pesticide-free cultivation technique in harmony with the environment. Plants interact with each other at different times of the year and live with insects. They will discover in the summer that aesthetics and beauty are also very important.
- During a delicious walk in this vegetable garden, with inspiration and thanks to the explanatory panels, they will learn all about the world of plants and vegetable gardens.
- Everything is designed at the height of children in this magical place, where permaculture workshops and courses take place all year round, according to the seasons and the vagaries of the weather. Do not hesitate to ask the farm beforehand to prepare your visit.
