The Lamoureux Orchestra has long offered an original program for young audiences. In addition to the famous baby concerts, the Lamoureux Orchestra offers a varied program all year round to introduce children to classical music.
“Malevolo and the Bird that Brings the Day” is a musical show with a storyteller, an actor, an acrobat and the Lamoureux orchestra made up of 25 musicians.
A fantastic tale serves as a framework for the performance of the musicians who interpret excerpts from the great repertoire (5-6 minutes maximum per excerpt).
- The tale takes place in Venice in 1715
- “Malevolo and the Bird that Brings Day” tells the story of a greedy bird merchant, ready to do anything dirty tricks to get rich
- Having tried to capture “The Uccelino”, the bird that brings daylight, Venice will plunge into darkness leaving its inhabitants in the worst destitution…
- Fortunately, a wonderful contortionist and a virtuoso violinist will prove once again that human beings cannot do without beauty, music and poetry!
