The exhibition “Living Forms” questions us about our relationship to the living world
“Living Forms” shows how the art of ceramics, from the Renaissance to the present day, is interested in the representation of the living, both plant and animal
The exhibition is organized into three thematic sections – Naturalisms, Organic Imaginaries and Inside the Living
It is the specific links that have united ceramics, a mineral material and therefore inanimate, to the living world for more than six centuries, that are explored here
You can admire extraordinary dishes decorated with animals, Sèvres porcelain plates decorated with birds, Art Nouveau vases inspired by the plant world, contemporary works or 3D printed biomedical pieces
All these works remind us how much the living world is a source of inspiration for the art of ceramics, whatever the era

- A sensory discovery of the Museum with nursery rhymes, materials to be discovered through touch, manipulation, stories…
- When : every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:30 am

LITTLE WOLF DISCOVERS CERAMICS (18-36 MONTHS)
- Little Wolf offers children the opportunity to discover its museum and ceramic animals! A visit to marvel, listen and have fun
- When : Every 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:30 am
- Price : €10 per adult
- Free for babies
- Duration : 45 minutes
SÈVRES TELLS THE STORY FOR CHILDREN (3-6 YEARS OLD)
- A storytelling tour of the Museum in the company of Cropetite, a character imagined by children’s author Michel Gay. A first approach to ceramics that is both poetic and creative!
- When : every 4th Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m.
- Price : €10 per adult and €8 per child
- Duration : 1 hour
