Les P’tits Fauteuil at the Théâtre du Châtelet

Les P’tits Fauteuil offers a series of immersive concerts to introduce the very young to classical music.
The concerts take place in a cosy place where babies and children can play, walk, dance to music. The concerts for 6 months to 3 year olds are in the big foyer, better suited to a small capacity. Children from 3 years old have access to more narrative shows in the main hall.

Peter and the Wolf is THE musical tale that continues to awaken children to classical music. He has left us all a tender ritornello which is adapted in this show in a Jazz version! The fabulous big band The Amazing Keystone, without changing anything in the lyrics of the tale or the musical themes, always makes us penetrate with humor into the diversity of the genre’s repertoire: New Orleans, bebop, cool or swing … A great time to spend with Pierre and his friends in a whirlwind of energy and tenderness. A treat for children and adults alike!

L’Amour vainqueur is a show adapted from the fairy tale “Demoiselle Maleen” by the Brothers Grimm. Olivier Py takes us into an operetta where the alexandrines sing an incredible love story. For disobeying her father, a young girl in love is imprisoned in a tower…. When she is released, 7 years later, the young girl is confronted with a world devastated by war and the madness of men, a world where nature disappears. Never mind, she is determined to move heaven and earth to escape her suitor and find her lover, even if it means fighting against an ugly general with a moustache! Famous singers who invite young and old to approach operetta with a story at a child’s level

Becoming a singer in a choir: a human and artistic adventure
Take the stage alongside the SOTTO VOCE Children’s Choir for a public performance!

“Come As You Sing” are two amateur choirs that will perform alongside the SOTTO VOCE Children’s Choir for a public performance at the Châtelet Theater! During the year, two workshops are offered to prepare children: a hall choir from 6 years old and a stage choir from 8 years old – a learning kit will even be provided so that children can practice at home (playback, choreography, tutorials…)
