It is the reference place for the art of building, ancient and modern, designed in an airy and bright space.

The museum offers permanent collections and temporary exhibitions on the mysteries of architecture. 1000 years of history are explained in a very educational way.

  • The visit to the permanent collections begins with the astonishing and vast Gallery of Casts
  • We discover a selection of the most representative monuments of French architectural genius, reproduced on a real scale in their smallest details
  • From the Middle Ages to theeighteenth century, we find reproduced, for example, the angel of the cathedral of Reims, the marvellous tympanum of the basilica of Vézelay, the great fountain of Nancy and the model of the Paris Opera!
  • The gallery of murals and stained glass windows is another highlight of the visit… As if on the road to the holidays, and as if you were there, you enter a vaulted crypt, you pass under a dome to observe the Romanesque, Gothic or Renaissance paintings that occupy the most beautiful French monuments
  • Finally, the gallery of modern and contemporary architecture retraces the great adventure of architecture from 1850 to the present day on 1,800 m2, it is unique in the world
  • We find Haussmann’s Paris, the CNIT of La Défense, Jean Nouvel’s endless tower, and even Le Corbusier through numerous models and photographs to understand all the stakes of these constructions in the city.
  • Ideal for visiting with the family, the model room occupies a very special place in the pedagogy intended for young audiences

The Palais de Chaillot…

The Palais de Chaillot, Place du Trocadéro, is one ofthe must-see places in Paris! It is ideal for spending time with children. Beyond its very typical architecture of the 1930s, it is a vast playground where science, culture and daydreams still flirt with pedagogy where the Musée de l’Homme and the Musée national de La Marine are located

With its breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower and the Champs de Mars, the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine occupies the “Paris” wing of the Palace. It is a unique museum that is full of surprises and where the pedagogy for young audiences and teenagers is omnipresent. A great time guaranteed for young and old

The exhibitions …
