Jackson Pollock: The Early Years (1934-1947)
- This exhibition at the Picasso Museum marks the largest retrospective dedicated to this artist since 2008
- Bringing together a hundred works, many of which have been loaned by major museums such as the MoMA in New York, and the Tate Modern in London
- The entire universe of Jackson Pollock is approached through the influences of Mexican muralists, American regionalism, or the European avant-garde, in particular: Picasso and André Masson the surrealist
- We discover the artist’s entire journey that will lead him to create his own style and his first “drippings”
- In the heart of the Marais district , it is an exhibition full of colors, shapes and references that will seduce the eyes of children of all ages.
- And then… the Picasso Museum remains a magnetic place for children who also have access to the rooms of the permanent collections

- From 6 years old – Saturdays at 10:30 am – Family visit “The Americas of Jackson Pollock” – Discover with your family the beginnings of the career of Jackson Pollock, one of the greatest American artists of the 20th century, through a fun tour punctuated by short activities (Duration 1h15)
- From 6 years old – Sundays at 2:30 pm – Family visit-studio – observe the paintings of the American artist, and guess what original materials and tools were used… Then, go to the workshop to make an abstract painting – (Duration 1h15)
