What to do for Halloween?
Come in disguise!
On the occasion of Halloween and the All Saints’ Day holidays, Cueillette du Plessis in Lumigny (77) offers a great pumpkin carving workshop for children from 5 years old (under shelter in a greenhouse). After choosing their favorite squash from the garden’s production, the children will make a beautiful (or scary) sculpture according to their desire, and that they will take home. It will then be a question of installing a candle so that the magic happens! The whole team will be there to follow the activity, give instructions on digging and cutting and guide the children to decorate the pumpkin.

La Cueillette de Lumigny (77)
It is an educational collection of 25 hectares with no less than 50 varieties of fruits, flowers and vegetables grown there!
From April to November, families flock to pick fruit, vegetables and flowers while having a good time, without quantity constraints. By following the natural cycle, the crops are the result of sustainable agriculture.
The season starts with spring vegetables, and at the end of May it’s strawberries. During the summer, it’s the festival of ratatouille vegetables (tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, onions, zucchini, …) and in September, the 4-hectare orchard opens its doors for apple picking. Autumn vegetables are followed by pumpkins and other cucurbits, leeks, carrots and potatoes.
Cueillette de Lumigny (77), which is part of the “Straw Hat” network, organizes educational events and workshops for children throughout the year.
