Halloween is also for the animals of the Thoiry Zoo!

More than 150 pumpkins will be distributed to animals over 4 days during Halloween activities
Lemurs, gorillas, or felines, will discover their meals served in original “plates” made of beautiful pumpkins cut by the keepers!
Meerkats will roll pumpkins to knock out the mealworms they love, lions will have to sink their fangs into pumpkins to discover a delicious snack made of pieces of meat! …
These activities are also an opportunity to change the habits of the animals at Thoiry Zoo by offering them new smells and new objects. The aim is to stimulate the animals by making it difficult for them. They have to spend more time catching their food

The 2023 theme and activities: ugly? Bad guys? but nevertheless useful!

5:30 pm – 6:30 pm and 6:30 pm – 7:15 pm – Scary activities for 7-11 year olds (and parents are not allowed!)

The children dropped off near the vicuña enclosure will be taken care of by an animator. Meeting point at the same place after the activity.
It is in the ark that the children will enter to discover the little animals that are locked up there
… On their way, they will meet witches, mad scientists or hermits who will tell them about their favorite animals: bats, cockroaches, tarantulas, snakes
Thrill adventurers will learn by scaring themselves and they will also have to discover at each stage an element of the spell to get out of the ark
Touching a snake, observing a jar full of cockroaches, yuck! it’s frightening, disgusting, disgusting! But above all, educational!

Halloween in Thoiry is also the Wild Lights!
