- Fire is crucial in the history of humanity.
- Sometimes a friend who warms, enlightens and gathers us around the hearth, sometimes an enemy who evokes devastation, destruction and violence.
- The Cité des Sciences presents a fascinating exhibition, extremely clear, lively, interactive and educational.
- This exhibition traces the history of the domestication of fire and ends with experiments that explain how to protect oneself in the event of a fire.
- A necessary exhibition for young and old alike, which will surely inspire firefighters!
L’exposition Feu se découpe en trois parties : apprivoiser, comprendre et combattre le feu
- Fire is structured around 3 main themes: Taming fire (more historical dimension with its myths, and its domestication over time), Understanding the phenomenon of fire (analysis of chemical phenomena and industrialization) and Fighting fire (prevention, protection, firefighting).
- For each of these 3 themes, the scenography of the Cité des Sciences sets up very fun and educational experiments and presents videos. The scenarios are adapted to children and teenagers alike. .
- Depending on the age of each person, we focus on one part of the exhibition rather than another.
