Dogs and cats, mysteries and furballs

Dogs and cats are combed through in this beautiful exhibition, as funny as it is serious, which is aimed at children as well as adults

  • At the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, the exhibition “Cats and Dogs” presented in 2015, has toured the world! For the pleasure of all, it is with a new enriched version that it returns to La Villette
  • After its international tour, it is thanks to new interactive and fun content and immersive experiences – such as an incredible sensory cabin – that you will learn all about the behavior of our four-legged friends:
  • Their way of seeing, and feeling, their understanding, but also the place they occupy in our society
  • Running, jumping, diving, we test the performance of cats and pooches while wondering what differentiates them

The exhibition in three parts

  • In their skin : in this section we experiment with our physical abilities, agility and balance, comparing them to those of our favorite little balls of fur. Unsurprisingly, we quickly understand that the cat is unbeatable at dribbling and jumping and that the dog runs faster than an Olympic athlete!
  • In their heads : with the help of immersive devices, we approach the sensory world of dogs and cats. Through sight, hearing and smell, we experience their communication, emotions and behaviors. In the sensory cabin, it’s up to you to test how they feel on their pads!
  • In our societies : this last part of the exhibition talks about the relationship between these animals that have become pets and humans. We discover a whole history that is not new, and the place that our companions occupy today in our society. Animal welfare and responsibility are also addressed in an educational way

While having fun, “Dogs and Cats” allows you to discover the surprising abilities of our pets and to decode their behaviors. From 6 years old, at La Villette
