Exhibition at the Musée de l’Homme
- We like: an immersive and interactive exhibition

- Duration: until June 3, 2019
- Place: Musée de l’Homme (Paris 16th)
Dans ma peau, l’expo sur le plus grand organe du corps humain
- An envelope of life and identity, a marker of time and the environment, the skin is our largest organ, twice as heavy as our brain.
- The Musée de l’Homme, in association with L’Oréal researchers, offers an immersive journey, combining sensory experiences, projections and new devices. Be careful, it’s quite technical. We do not recommend the exhibition without a guided tour for children under 10 years old.
- The objective is to show the complexity that is hidden in our envelope through a journey that will take you through the successive structures of the skin: the stratum corneum, the epidermis, the dermis, the hypodermis. You will encounter hairs, vessels, collagen fibers…
- Original devices show the different hazards that the skin undergoes on a daily basis. The passage of time , the migration of cells to the surface where they die after thirty days. The passage of years on faces.
- How does our skin resist the water that passes over it every morning in the shower? To the temperature variations that assail us? To the cold that dries us out and above all, to the sun, public enemy number 1. What do these millions of bacteria on the surface of our skin do?
- To finish this journey, you will discover piercing through the ages and cultures. Yet another story and another journey.
