Illuminations, shows, animations to celebrate Christmas in splendour
Christmas, in the sumptuous setting of an illuminated castle, is a magical family outing. The palaces of Versailles, Vaux-le-Vicomte and Fontainebleau are adorned with wonderful Christmas decorations and the illuminations of both the parks and the interior rooms make for a magnificent festive spectacle. These castles have children in mind, even children, with a variety of tales and activities.

- On the occasion of the end-of-year celebrations, the Palace of Versailles offers a tour and show of the Hall of Mirrors and the State Apartments.
- The King’s Journey is a show in the company of baroque actors, dancers, singers and musicians.
- You will discover, during a show of baroque music and ballets. the Salon d’Hercule, the King’s bedroom and then the Hall of Mirrors.

Vaux-le-Vicomte fête noël
- The Château de Vaux le Vicomte is celebrating Christmas, and it’s very beautiful!
- The castle, the gardens, the museum of the Crews, the various courtyards… The whole estate is decorated for Christmas and wonderfully illuminated.
- This year, a monumental video is projected on the façade of the castle. This sound and light show traces the creation and history of the castle since the seventeenth century.
- A majestic alley of illuminated fir trees adorns the entrance to the castle, like a magical path…
- The whole castle is decorated in Christmas colours.
- In the gardens, children up to 6 years old are offered a PAPO surprise gift, and children from 7 to 17 years old leave with a chocolate biscuit from Maison Fossier.

- Christmas in Vaux-le-Vicomte is every day from December 23 to January 5. From 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Last access 5:15 pm.
- Closed on December 25 and January 1.
- Free for children under 6 years old. Child rate from 6 to 17 years old.
- The ticket includes access to the decorated castle, the French garden, and the Museum of Crews.
