But what is the Trocadero located in the 16th arrondissement? It is an architectural ensemble in the style of the 30s with the Palais du Trocadéro built for the Universal Exhibition of 1878 and then dismantled 57 years later. It was replaced by the Palais de Chaillot. The Trocadero overlooks the Seine and faces the Eiffel Tower. A superb complex (of 55,000 m2) which houses the Trocadero gardens, the Trocadero esplanade, the National Theater of Chaillot, the National Maritime Museum... It is in this district that the Aquarium de Paris is located. For a drink or a meal, the Café du Trocadéro is a typical Parisian brasserie. The district is served by the Trocadero metro station which is located on Place du Trocadéro
A magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower
The Trocadero esplanade is located right in front of the Eiffel Tower. It overlooks the Seine and the view of the Iron Lady is very beautiful. Photographers will be in for a treat! The restaurants on the Trocadero side offer a view of the Eiffel Tower
