- Colour dominates, self-portraits touch us and abundant nature envelops us
Kandinsky, the Odyssey of the Abstract
- The Atelier des Lumières presents for about ten minutes of works by Wassily Kandinsky,
- Figurative works painted at the beginning of his career, with impressionist touches, pointillism or Fauvism
- The second part, more modern, colorful and geometric, shows the artist’s major works, a real journey into the cosmos
L’Atelier des Lumières, le nouveau lieu culturel de Paris
- The Atelier des Lumières opened in the spring of 2018 in a former foundry in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. This very large exhibition space is perfectly suited to the ambitions of this new Parisian cultural venue.
- The founding principle is to put technology at the service of the artistic tradition by appropriating classic pictorial works to make gigantic video projections.
- It’s another way to organize exhibitions, to discover art, it’s amazing and it will appeal to young audiences, that’s for sure!
- In a space of 2000 m2 and 10 meters high, Van Gogh’s works are projected on the floor, ceiling and walls.
- It’s a visual shock, The colors explode. Music accompanies the projection. We are immersed in an XXL sound and light show. More than 3000 images set in motion by 140 laser projectors make this immersive art possible.
