- It is a former prison, which became a revolutionary court and Marie-Antoinette’s prison
- At the Conciergerie, the old revolutionary cells have been reconstructed with wax figures, which makes the circuit very suggestive…
- In particular, you can see Marie-Antoinette’s reconstructed cell
- Don’t miss the mini-video summarizing the main episodes of the French Revolution on the 1st floor

The Sainte-Chapelle
- The Sainte Chapelle is a jewel of the radiant Gothic style, built by Saint Louis in the heart of the Palais de la Cité
- It is located right next to the Conciergerie, in the Palais de Justice
- It stands out for the elegance of its architecture, with the almost total removal of the walls in the upper chapel and the presence of its 1113 huge stained glass windows
- Go preferably when the weather is nice (it’s when the sun penetrates through the stained glass windows that the magic happens) and above all BOOK or go early in the morning!
