Capucine's birthday

“L’Anniversaire de Capucine” is a 40-minute musical, family-friendly, cheerful and rhythmic show that is perfectly suited to toddlers.

  • After the success of the “Nursery Rhymes of Capucine”, this new show is built with the same alternation of stories and songs.
  • Today, Capucine is 3 years old, but her mother warned her: no party before naptime!
  • So Capucine falls asleep, and dreams of her birthday party with her friends, of her cake with her 3 candles… Oh yes, but the candles, where did she put them? If Capucine doesn’t remember them, she will fortunately be able to count on her friends the snail, the hedgehog, or the spider Gypsie to help her find them…
  • In “Capucine’s Birthday”, each animal, object or place (boat, bridge, mill) introduces traditional nursery rhymes, songs and refrains (Petit Escargot, Sur le pont d’Avignon, Bateau sur l’eau…) that toddlers love to accompany by singing or by gestures because they have often learned them in nursery and school.
  • Go in search of Capucine’s birthday candles stolen by the ferret…
  • An adorable musical show for very young audiences, ideal for children up to 5 years old
  • Since 1998, the theatre company “Dans les décors” has been staging shows specially designed for toddlers.
  • Elle a  notamment créé une trilogie de spectacles de comptines très réussis autour du personnage de Capucine.
    • Toddlers, from 1 year old, take great pleasure in finding the nursery rhymes they know (Little Snail, On the Bridge of Avignon, Boat on the WaterMy Little Rabbit, Little Fish in the Water, A Green Mouse, In the Light of the Moon, Colchiques in the Meadows…).
    • They participate in shows in which nursery rhymes are brought by simple stories accompanied by a colorful décor and animals or whimsical objects.
  • The 1st show “Les Comptines de Capucine” was followed by “L’Anniversaire de Capucine” and more recently by “Les Vacances de Capucine“. These three shows are regularly performed at the Comédie de Paris theater.
  • Capucine’s trilogy is performed by actress Stéphanie Pierron. She was also Lady Marianne in Robin Hood, Isabelle and the Bohemian in The Pirates’ Treasure and Coquinette in Puss in Boots.
