Musicanimale “the great sound bestiary”
- The Philharmonie de Paris continues its exploration of biodiversity. After the magnificent exhibition dedicated to Salgado Amazonia, this time it is time to focus on the influence of animals in human musical creation
- Designed in the form of an alphabet book, this exhibition takes us from A for calls (objects that attract birds) to Z for zoomorphic, passing through all the letters of the alphabet (B in the bellow of the deer or the drone by Rimsky Korsakov) or R in the Nightingale…
- Equipped with your headphones, you listen to the sounds of nature (whale song, wolf howl, fox bark…) and hear how they have been reinterpreted by musicians in all eras
- These include: the aria by Papageno (Mozart’s Magic Flute), the Carnival of the Animals (Saint Saëns), the Catalogue of Birds (Messiaen), Litany for the Whale (John Cage), the air of the cats (Rossini)… and all the others!
- The family trail of the Musicanimale exhibition is designed for children from 6 years old. It allows them, throughout 19 stations, to discover a selection among the 150 works of art and art objects in the exhibition. Accompanied by their parents, children can observe, listen, play or manipulate and watch video projections.
- The scenography is magnificent; The exhibition is unusual, original and exciting; We loved it!
- An exhibition to see with your children – Ideal from 6 years old!
