The ocean is more than threatened by the waste that flows into it every day. However, there are simple ways to remedy this, including the 3 Rs rule: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

“Rabbids at the Aquarium de Paris” seeks to raise awareness of the 3 Rs among young people and adults with an exhibition, a game trail and small shows.

With creativity and humour, the Aquarium de Paris offers all generations the opportunity to understand where waste comes from, what to do with it, and how to limit it. The fun trail, punctuated by anecdotes and educational information, describes the circuit of waste produced by human activities, from its appearance to its recovery or dispersion in the ocean. Thanks to their offbeat vision of the world and their overflowing inventiveness, Rabbids participate in their own way in virtuous actions to reduce the volume of waste. Rabbits have a habit of Recycling and Reusing any items they find to invent crazy machines and have fun. This way, Rabbits can reduce their waste production!

The game course

While admiring the tanks of the Aquarium de Paris, visitors notice objects that have nothing to do with them. This waste, produced by human activities, is bad for the marine environment and harmful to fish and invertebrates. Accompanied by the Rabbids, the visitor becomes aware that reuse, reducing the volume of packaging and recycling waste is not very difficult or dramatic and can even be a fun activity. The youngest accompanied by their parents or grandparents are invited to collect clues to discover a mystery phrase that will allow them to receive a small gift at the end of the course, at the shop (while stocks last, 1 gift per child cannot be sold)

• Pitch : in a more or less distant future, a scientist lost on a desert island covered in garbage despairs of finding a solution to save the planet from waste. Answering his prayer, an unexpected and incongruous help appears: a Rabbid! Accumulating gags and pranks, the Rabbit nevertheless builds an improbable machine to go back in time with the waste that litters the beach… What if the solution was elsewhere?
