“Iris van Herpen. Sculpting the senses”… Between contemporary art, science and design
- Located in the Louvre and Tuileries districts, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs takes us on a moving sensory adventure around the creations of Iris van Herpen, a Dutch haute couture designer born in 1984
- She is one of the most avant-garde artists of her generation
- The exhibition is designed as an immersive experience between contemporary art, science and design
- We loved this exhibition. It is a unique and fascinating work
- Iris van Herpen’s universe mixes traditional know-how and materials born of high technology
- Everything is intriguing and confusing when you get close to the details, when you observe the effects of corals, fossils and minerals from which she is inspired
- With more than a hundred haute couture pieces on display, she questions us about the place of the body in clothing and plays with a world that she questions …
- His fashion costumes are hybrid and some of them are made in 3D printing !
- Presented in dialogue with contemporary artworks by Philip Beesley, the Collectif Mé, Wim Delvoye and many others, the achievements of this young fashion designer are absolutely fascinating
- We are bewitched by the metamorphoses of the body and the dreamlike aspect of his work: between the graphic universe and botany… It’s a real revolution! To be seen for example during the February and Easter holidays
