- To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Impressionism , the Musée d’Orsay offers us a new reading on the emergence of this famous artistic movement that everyone thinks they know
- 1874 is the date when it all began… 31 artists including Monet, Renoir, Degas, Morisot, Pissarro, Sisley and Cézanne have chosen this year to organize their own exhibition in the studio of the photographer Nadar outside the official Salon
- Impressionism was born! And it is through 130 works presented that we discover the tormented context of the time, at the end of a Franco-Prussian war and the civil war
- “Paris 1874. Inventing Impressionism” is a very beautiful retrospective where we become aware of the radical modernity of the Impressionists when they are confronted with the works exhibited at the Official Salon
