Playing is serious!
- Consoles, consoles, computers, arcade machines, virtual reality devices but also board games and prototypes
- This year is the 7th edition of the Play Sorbonne Festival, and it is THE student game festival
- It’s the perfect time to get to know the community of enthusiasts – from board games to video games
- All the representatives of these universes will be there! We will be able to meet developers, publishers and associations (retro-gaming, indie games, E-Sport)
- From jobs to creative processes: the 2024 festival will bring together authors, hosts, political scientists, content creators around a special Sorbonne role-playing show “Game of Roles”.
- In addition to about fifteen board game authors and as many video game developers
- There will also be conferences given by researchers specializing in video games, particularly on questions of history, economics, but also gender or game design
- You can visit an exhibition on video game art
- And… Meet professionals (possibly on the program if you feel like it!) – but it will also be an opportunity to freely test games
- Play Sorbonne University will host e-sport competitions and showmatches. The public will be able to discover video games pushed to excellence. A 256-player Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament is planned (on registration)!
