"Le malade imaginaire in A major: the all-ages musical that makes children laugh and adults wonder
History: Argan is convinced that he is the sickest man in the world. In order to secure his daily and lasting help, he has decided to marry his daughter off to a doctor. But she has no intention of letting him... We swing, we argue, we cough, we sing, we laugh, but above all, as in all the great Molière's comedies: we love each other!
- 4 artists for 10 roles
- A goldsmith's work on Molière's text and the addition of songs to pay homage to the comedies and ballets of the period (a pianist is present on stage).
- With its musical approach, the show is accessible and fun for children aged 8 and over.
- The staging also satisfies adaptations of the classics, with total respect for Molière's text and the issues at stake.
- The themes dear to Molière appear even more topical: the song "La place d'une femme" brings out the feminist figure of Angélique, and the song "Laissons faire la nature" pokes fun at Argan's hypochondria and the excesses of various forms of medicine (past and present).
